The ever evolving Google – Google Places
Having this week been working with two different clients on their Google accounts, I thought I would do this post as I found some things have changed recently in the world of the ever evolving Google.
Once logged in to a Google account we see the “Local Business Center” area now has a new name “Google Places”, this is where we see our business dashboard and account information and where we can set up a business on Google maps.

Google Maps
Adding your business to Google maps involves just a simple form to complete. If you don’t want your email published then leave this field blank, likewise if you want to appear on the Maps but not specific to your postcode then use the “Service Areas and Location Settings” section to select “Do not show my business address on my Maps listing” option or select the area you wish to be shown in services.

Wedding and Party Invitation Graphics :: Posted by: Hazel on February 3rd, 2010
Graphic Design For Wedding Stationary and Party Invitations
I have been working recently with Alison who owns and runs a sucessful Handmade Card business “Little Gems Handmade Cards” www.littlegemscards.co.uk to design graphics for their 2010 new range of invitations.
Graphic designs created into fantastic Invitations and Wedding Stationary
The brief included me digitally drawing and designing a range of graphics from a formula one car to a pasiley pattern for a wedding stationary range, plus champagne glasses, motorbikes and a great birthday invitation with a little girl and a cupcake. I have had great fun designing the cards and they are all available to order online at Little Gems Handmade Cards. Many of the cards can be personalised and all invitations come with printed inserts as per the clients requirements.

Website updated
As well as me being involved with designing the graphics for the new range at Little Gems, Adrian and I have worked on the website and have now created 14 new pages and updated the wedding and invitation sections on the site.
