New PHP forms

We recently updated the ordering form over @ www.littlegems-cards.co.uk, the form is now coded in php.
Now when a customer enters a number in the chosen card/s fields and proceeds to the payment instruction page they are shown what they have ordered, the number of each card/s ordered, the unit price of the card and total for each card. Finally the total cost is shown. This new form also allows you to select your chosen colour on certain cards.

A complex behind the scenes form but hopefully the final result gives a more streamlined front-end form. Also included backend of course is form validation and depending what has been filled in on the form some things show or not. For example, the payment method chosen will bring up different results depending on the users input.

Sample ordering forms

Once this form was fully tested and went live we then made two additional forms, these were order sample forms, again in php.

These forms for party and wedding invitation cards allow people to add personalised information and receive a sample card.
The aim of these forms are a “call to action” to encourage people to order sample cards before committing to ordering all of their wedding invitations or stationery.

The sample ordering forms are far simpler but just as effective and the customer can input the own details to get them made into a card.

We are monitoring the stats and the forms already appear on google and have been used my customers to order cards and sample cards.

Propertydecorating.co.uk Decorating Materials Calculators

Following the success of his wallpaper calculator and the amount of use and interest the resources on our family business decorating site and blog are attracting, Adrian has been busy coding and has now created and added three further decorating calculators to the Property Decorating website www.propertydecorating.co.uk.

The calculators are FREE to use on the website and are PHP coded from scratch by Adrian, the calculators include : wallpaper calculator, a ceiling wallpaper calculator, a paint calculator and the latest addition added today, a tile calculator. The calculators also offers a feet to metres converter making for ease of use.

Graphic Design For Wedding Stationary and Party Invitations

I have been working recently with Alison who owns and runs a sucessful Handmade Card business “Little Gems Handmade Cards” www.littlegemscards.co.uk to design graphics for their 2010 new range of invitations.

Graphic designs created into fantastic Invitations and Wedding Stationary

The brief included me digitally drawing and designing a range of graphics from a formula one car to a pasiley pattern for a wedding stationary range, plus champagne glasses, motorbikes and a great birthday invitation with a little girl and a cupcake. I have had great fun designing the cards and they are all available to order online at Little Gems Handmade Cards. Many of the cards can be personalised and all invitations come with printed inserts as per the clients requirements.

As well as me being involved with designing the graphics for the new range at Little Gems, Adrian and I have worked on the website and have now created 14 new pages and updated the wedding and invitation sections on the site.
