Happy Birthday OU: 40 Years of the Open University

Last night we watched the BBC 4 program celebrating the OU (Open University) 40th year. It was an interesting program watching the old TV footage and hearing the stories of the presenters.

We (Adrian and I) are Open University Alumni, having studied with the OU from 2000 and 2003 respectively. In 2005 we designed and built the first Essex OUSA (Open University Students Association) website www.ousasouthend.org.uk which was the first website Adrian and I collaborated on, it brought together our joint, and different skills making it a exciting, and experimental project at the time. We have since gone on to make many websites and work on many projects together!! .

The OUSA Southend website is still online live today, but not currently updated, as the branch has been dormant for some time, although we are still willing to continue as the webmasters when the branch is regenerated.
